DIRECTIONS TO HERITAGE DAY AT CHESTNUT DALE BAPTIST
CHURCH
We will have signs from the Crossnore Caution Light and other
important intersections from there on to the church. There will also
be a fall festival at the produce market just above the caution light
with a lot of signs…this is not us.
Take Hwy 181 from Morganton, North to Pineola ( approx. 30 mi.)
Pineola is #1 on map.
At Pineola (#1) turn left (South) on Hwy 221. You will go about 2
miles passing the intersection with Hwy 194 to Newland (on the
right). This intersection is marked #2 on the map. You do not turn
toward Newland. Keep going South on Hwy 221 approx. 1 mile.
You will come to a Caution Light which is #3 on the map. You will
know you are close to the caution light when you see a produce
stand on the left with a lot of pumpkins and flowers. This is the one
having their fall festival also. The right turn to Crossnore is only
about 100 yards past the produce stand.
At the Caution Light (#3), turn right and go about 1 mile into the
town of Crossnore (#4) .
Continue straight on through Crossnore. There is a fountain in
town and just past it is the Post Office on your left. Continue on the
road that goes straight ahead to the right past the Post Office.
This is Mount Pleasant Road.
From Crossnore, you will go about 2 miles when you will pass the
road on the left that turns to our house. This is marked #5 on the
map. I put reference in because I thought you would probably
recognize the place. Instead of turning toward our house, KEEP
GOING STRAIGHT on Mt. Pleasant Road. You will go about a mile
when you come to an intersection which is #6 on the map.
At the #6 intersection, you must turn right or left….there is a large
hedge straight in front of you. At this intersection, TURN LEFT.
You are now on Squirrel Creek Road. Go approximately 2 miles.
You will go down a long hill. At the bottom of the hill, the road
curves left into a short staightaway. At the end of this straightaway
is the Church on the right. You will probably have to park on the
edge of the road.
