From the conception of Heritage Day, it has
been the intent of the members of Chestnut
Dale Baptist Church to give our proceeds
back to the community. In keeping with this
goal, all proceeds gathered from Heritage
Day are distributed by the Youth Group.
Organisations such as the Baptist
Children's Home of North Carolina,
Samaritans Purse "Operation Christmas
Child", private ministries in Nuevo Loreado,
Mexico and funding of several local families
during the Christmas season, as well as
during times of hardships, are the main
focus of our donations.
Each year, our Youth Group selects several
families during the Christmas season that
may be going through a hardship, or that
may simply need financial help. After
confirming sizes, likes and hobbies, we turn
the Youth Group loose to shop! This is one
of our favorite events as a group.
Our goal is to help make sure that each
child we help has a wonderful Christmas
morning. By taking the financial load off of
a needy parent or guardian during this
rather expensive season, we hope to
express our love for the community, as well
as reflect God's love for all.
